The boat: M/Y Princess Sara

When choosing a liveaboard cruise in the Maldives, the quality of the boat is essential to ensure a comfortable, safe, and unforgettable experience. To meet all needs, the accommodations are varied and include two Standard cabins, two Deluxe cabins, and two Junior Suites on the lower deck; two Junior Suites on the main deck; and, finally, two luxurious Master Suites on the upper deck. The common areas are spacious and well-maintained: inside, there is a comfortable air-conditioned lounge, ideal for relaxing or for briefings. Meals can be enjoyed either in the indoor dining area or in the pleasant outdoor area at the stern. To enjoy the sun, the Princess Sara also offers several sun decks.

Diving Dhoni

The defining element of Maldives liveaboards, the “Diving Dhoni”, is a support boat dedicated exclusively to diving activities, where, throughout the cruise, all equipment is stored.

At the end of each dive, powerful compressors recharge the cylinders directly at their place.

The dedicated dressing spaces are spacious and comfortable, and operations for entering and exiting the water are quick and safe. Moreover, the Dhoni helps keep the mothership tidier — removing the equipment clutter — and quieter — eliminating the noise of the compressors.
Additionally, the Dhoni allows precise access to dive sites even in unfavorable weather conditions, while the main boat remains anchored in a protected and sheltered area.

 

Tender

Equipped with a powerful outboard engine, the tender is fast, maneuverable, and capable of comfortably transporting small groups of guests. Its enhanced navigational capacity allows it to reach otherwise inaccessible spots to the Dhoni, such as shallow bottoms near deserted beaches, ideal for walks, lagoon swims, or unforgettable sunset aperitifs and barbecues under the stars.
For enthusiasts of bottom fishing or trolling, the tender also serves as the perfect tool to reach more promising areas, always respecting local regulations.

Onboard services

If you are not yet a diver and want to experience the thrill of breathing underwater, you can participate for free in the SSI Try Scuba program. After a theoretical briefing, an instructor will guide you through an unforgettable underwater experience, and if your passion is ignited, you can then continue with the SSI Open Water Diver course. Certified divers can instead enroll in specialty courses (such as Deep Diving, Nitrox, or Night & Limited Visibility) or take the Advanced Adventurer course, which includes five thematic dives. On the boat, all equipment—including 15-liter tanks and Nitrox fills—is available for rental. Life onboard isn’t limited to diving: for fishing enthusiasts, gear for bottom and trolling fishing is on offer. You can also take advantage of Wi-Fi and a hot tub, perfect for relaxing after dives. For an extra dose of adrenaline, you can rent a Jet Ski, an exciting way to explore the turquoise waters and reach the most remote sandbanks, always respecting safety and environmental regulations.
