The answer is tied to a concept that is fundamental to me: storytelling.<br \/>A good video isn&#8217;t just about dives; it tells a broader story. That is why I always include scenes shot above water in my work\u2014the boat, locations, preparations\u2014technically known as \u201cB-roll\u201d. The video was filmed using a GoPro 13 with GoPro Labs settings. Although this is a video shot entirely on the surface, these clips are a perfect example of how some of these frames can be used as b-roll to enrich scuba diving videos. Arrival at the boat or resort and logistical operations, such as check-in or preparing the dive gear bag pre-trip, are also part of the experience and can be effectively Including shots like waves on the bow, a flag fluttering in the wind, or the scenery upon arrival at the dive site adds dynamism. Mooring and anchoring maneuvers, with a detail of a crew member securing the lines and tying a knot, also offer a fascinating glimpse into life on board. Despite the sturdy grip, it is a compact and lightweight accessory, easy to carry in a shorts pocket during shore excursions. Its structure also makes it easy to aim the GoPro and find the right angle in just a few moments.<br \/>The most important feature, however, is its ability to float. Dealing with the aquatic environment always involves the risk of an accidental drop, and The Handler is the perfect &#8220;insurance policy.&#8221; Even though I always use the included wrist strap, with truly incredible build quality. Its usefulness in diving is enormous, because it allows you to switch the action cam from an extension pole to a tripod in a single gesture, without having to unscrew anything. It has been useful to me on several occasions, for example, when the battery of the main GoPro I was holding in my hand died: in just a few seconds, I could unclip it and replace it with the GoPro I had mounted on the Chesty.<br \/>The Small Grab Pro 60 is a jointed arm that I always mount underwater between the chest harness and the GoPro because it allows me to adjust the framing with millimeter precision, which is impossible with the direct mount. Furthermore, on the surface, I pair it with the ProMount to achieve unconventional shots, taking advantage of its flexibility to find the perfect angle even in the most difficult The result is a time-acceleration effect that allows you to show slow events in just a few seconds, such as the movement of clouds or a flower blooming.<\/p>\n<p>Among the B-rolls, a sunset timelapse is perhaps one of my favorites, but it is also one of the shots I rarely manage to capture. Since I almost always travel by liveaboard, the boat never offers the necessary stability for this type of video. However, when you are lucky enough to be on mainland at the right moment, I have prepared a specific preset to optimize the GoPro and best capture the sunset.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, two fundamental rules apply: the camera must be firmly fixed to a steady support (like a tripod) and the battery must be fully charged.
